Looking for new housing projects near Mumbai or Navi mumbai

Hi,
I would like to know if anyone has any information about the new housing projects near Navi Mumbai a new city called Arrow City Manhattan, India
Information on the Internet is 1-2 years old. Are there any new house projects coming up? If anyone has any information about this then please me know.
I am interested in a villa or an independent house near Mumbai city like Lonavala, Khandala, Navi etc..thanks,

Having moved recently from Navi Mumbai the following is the info. that I can share -
1. Arrow city Manhattan is most likely a dubious bid by the builder / developer to entice HNI to invest. It made a lot of noise couple of years back and now is not to be heard of as much. They were dependent of the trans-harbour link (MTHL) + NM airport to fructify but the latest is that MTHL has been put on the back burner by the govt. until the airport issues gets full environmental clearance. So avoid Arrow city.
2. There are so many high rises being built in Navi Mumbai that it is insane to see so much construction. One good area is the Palm beach marg which has great views of the Elephanta islands & the Thane creek & Arabian sea.
3. Another great development is Kharghar with the area near the central park, Golf course & ISCKON as one of the better ones there.
4. All the above areas have plenty high rises and few independent houses. If you really search then you might find very few in Kharghar or Vashi or even further in Panvel. I doubt if any of those would be brand new ones.
5. If you are looking for brand new independent housing like a second / weekend homes then you might need to go farther than Lonavala as Lonavala has been greatly abused and not worth investing. Some places worth considering are Talegaon, Lavasa, Pavna dam i.e. towards Karjat and then towards Kasara you could look at Khardi, Igatpuri, near Shahapur and then near Nashik. With the expressway nearing completion between Nashik & Mumbai the travel would be a lot comfortable.

It seems like that you know what you are talking about. I would like to learn more e.g. How much is the distance from karjat to mumbai. My son who is 8 years old would need to be admitted to a good Eng. only school. Do you know any good schools in Mumbai..Please let me know your email address so that I could ad you as my friend and could be touch with you if required in future, only if you do not mind..I would appreciate it very much..thanks again,

Karjat to Mumbai is VERY far. 2.5 hrs by local train.
Plenty of international schools in & outside of Mumbai. You'll be happy to see the choices. Just decide the area you wish to settle and you should find some decent schools around.

From the names I've mentioned, Vashi is the closest but that is also a good 45 - 60 minutes by train to South Mumbai (Downtown).
Details on below queries might assist in giving suggestions -
1. Whereabouts are you shortlisting in & around Mumbai?
2. What do you intend to accomplish in Mumbai if you do not have an area shortlisted?
