In general ur story will not apply to the general Technology related work force. Most people from the tech sector make 10 to 16 lakhs if they return to india.
When u make 10-16 lakhs u can save around 3-5 lakhs after tax.

While general salary abroad is in the range of 80K to 120K of which u can save 30K to 50K which is close to 12 to 15 lakh.

So ofcourse it makes more sense for most Technology people to work overseases.. Also the work culture is so bad that u end up spending 12 to 18 hr work days in india..

U are the exception, if u are having a job that pays 30 lakh @ that salary u can save 12 to 15 Lakh and if u can get a good work life balance then enjoy it and stay there..

Personally i think u made a mistake giving up a chance to get canadian citizenship... long term canada has the best prospects We the most mineral resource in the world tell how long will it take for us to be the richest nation..

Not long i say..

I don't know what is your definition of technology related work. Infosys TCS or wipro???I don't even call them tech company.

Have you ever heard about Intel, Broadcom, Nvidia, Cadence, Synopsys

Find out how much they pay for their technical Manager/Project manager including bonus + RSU+Stock per annum.

and if I would have success story I won't be having time to write in this forum asking for suggestion.

If you are really interested in citizenship there are so many thread not this one sorry.

Just curious what this post is about..

From u post i cannot conclude u are happy , unhappy or asking for opinion or sharing ur experience..

I would have to categorize this as a meaningless post , kind of a like a blog entry, made even more meaning less by statements like IT companies not being technology companies..

Success to u but i say reader beware, this persons exp is an anomaly..

at silicon_valley, Have you started this thread for advice ? or to make all of us Jealous about how much you are making in India. :-)

If you are earning 30 Lakhs in India then you can live like a king over there.

Hence bottom line is “Chote Gaon (India) mei Raja banke jina hai ya fir bade gaon (North America) mei Bhikari bane ke”
