Does anyone have idea about the Toronto Institute of Pharmaceutical technology? We have come across courses offered by them like Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst Certificate, which is a 29 weeks course with a fee of about 10K. My wife is MSc. Chemistry and is interested to join this course, assuming that it will give her a better chance of finding a job. Appreciate comments from those who know about this institute and the course.

First check whether they or their courses are approved by Government of Ontario. Otherwise it will be waste of money. Mine gut feel it is waste because I heard someone referring to such a course (though not thru them) and then decided not to pursue it. Do your due dilligence because not all courses will get you the job in this country. These institutions are making money on immigrant ignorance.

Totally agree with you. I have found many people are in queue to get labour jobs in pharma company after studying with these type of institutions.
If anybody wants to study in Canada then strictly go to universities
only.All other private colleges and community colleges are doing money making business.
I did a course of QA QC in TIPT in 2007. well in 2008 was littlebit booming and i got a job also. TIPT is good pharmaceutical college and well known in pharmaceutical industry in canada
its up to u which course u want to do because already laid off people from genpharm, apotex, cobalt, caraco , novopharm is in market. many experience guy right now doing packaging or production job to get in phramaceutical field.
QC field in pharmacuetical is saturate right now think before u invest your money in this course.
