is it possible to voluntarily cancel your PR status when you meet the residency obligation ?
If yes can anyone tell me the procedure for it .

I am 19 years old currently studying medicine in India which will take around four and a half more years . As I won't be able to meet the residency obligation so I want to cancel my PR statue so that I may be sponsered later by my parents so that I'll be able to meet residency obligation then .

Studying Medicine in India and then wish to come here. It is nothing but hara kiri. Doctors from India have little scope here. They drive taxis or work in wall mart. Old saying " paray farsi beche teil". and "aa bal mujhe mar"
One of my doctor friend tried and tried here for 6 years , completed all the examinations and still no job. She is returing to India to open a nursing home there.

Write a letter to CIC and they will cancel your PR after verification.
