Please advice me on the following.,

1., A good mobile plan for me on arrival?

2., Do they charge me for incoming calls also?

3., Is it possible for me to bring the handset which we use in middle east and continue to use the same there or it is more advisable to buy the connection with the phone in Canada itself.

4., If i buy a connection on arrival in Toronto can i use the same connection in Niagara Falls / St Catherine also?

You can use your mobile here but depends on the Service you opt for.

1. Go with WIND Service $45 mobile plan if you want to call anywhere in Canada.

2. They do not charge you for incoming calls.

3. Depends on the service you opt for.

4. Please check with the service...should be able to use it.

For in detail information check with the individual services by searching in google.
And contacting or mailing the service.

Its a very good idea to start using the feature "Search" be it a google or CD .
Just type in mobile plans in search in CD itself and you will tonnnnnnnes of replies / recommendations .

You will have to see the coverage map, particularly for new providers like Wind. What is a good deal for Toronto/GTA may not be for St. Catherines.

Raj Canada is rite seems the options are very limited in St Catherine / Niagara Falls as we could find hardly a retail shop for WIND and other mobile connection suggested in this forum. Is Hamilton considered part of GTA?

I would say go to the malls near you, get all the phone plans and compare. See if you really want to go on a contact, understand how much it costs if you break a contract before term or would you rather to go on prepaid. The new providers are only available in limited cities, so you will have to wait before they extend their coverage.
