Hi all,

New to this forum. I landed in toronto a week back and in search of apartments. I work in the financial district and am looking for 2 Bedroom apts and the maximum rent I can go up to is 1200 pm. Can anyone suggest good residential areas . I am looking at following factors:

Indians and Indian grocery shops around
Safe secure area
Parks around for my child.
easy to commut for me / Close to Subway.

Any suggestions would be welcome please.

Given your work location, there is no need to restrict yourself to the core downtown area for apartment.
The financial district is well connected via TTC and Go Transit (Union Station).
You could try looking outside core downtown areas.
I don't know what the rents there are these days, but from when I remember, it used to be hard to find a 2 BR apartment for $1,200, esp. given the features you are looking for (safety, security, parks, etc.)

Try Martin Grove - Westway ... there are 2-3 bldgs .
