I have looked few appartments near Eglinton & Victoria park prices are quite resonable its also close to Eglinton Square shopping mall(not sure something like that). Just wondering any fellow desis living in that area and how is the area in terms of safety,indian grocery stores and crime

I would suggest you to stay away from that area, there have been quite a few shootings in that viscinity. Last year they found a chopped body in a shopping cart in one of those shopping centers.
If you are working on Hwy7/leslie, Donmills Finch and Don Mills sheppard should be a very good location for you. The apartments are reasonably good with good access to public transportation.
Coincidentally, I stay on Donmills/Finch and work on Hwy7/leslie and commute by car.

i really value your suggestion. I will stay away from that area and will try to stick to Donmills & Finch and Donmills & Shepperd area.

Don Mills/Sheppard & Finch areas are decent. Quite a few indians living in the area as well.
You could rent an apartment or an above ground basement apartment in the area that are quite common. They are not your typical basement apartments as they are above ground and are quite spacious and bright. You'll be looking at paying about $800 or so for such a place.
