Hi all,
Can a canada PR living in Toronto apply for US tourist visa in Ottawa or Montreal? Toronto Consulate appointments looks always busy.

Do I need any vacation approval letter from my employer or just the employment verification letter should be enough to show my ties in Canada.?

yes you can apply at Ottawa/Montreal, you need to show the invite letter and the rest of the standard documents (filled up form, photos, fees, pr card copy,pay slips etc). The Toronto embassy appointments opens up at odd times so you need to keep checking

Thanks Quest. I don't have any relatives in US .So can't get any invite letter.

I am planning to visit Cedar point in summer and if possible Disney in Winter.
May be 4 days max during each trip.

Are the chances of getting visa is more with a invitation letter?

Make sure you attach a proper iternary, of when you are going, where you will be staying, eg if at a hotel, hotel reservation confirmation, phone nos .

If flying , then flight details booking confirmation etc.
