Just curious if there are any jobs in Canada that pay more than $100k. If so, what sort of education/experience is required to get such jobs.
Of course, there are thousands of different jobs that pay 100K,500K, or even 1 million in the public and private sector. Your question is too vague and you need to narrow down your criteria (such as industry type), so that the forum can give you the appropriate feedback.
I see that your location shows that you are in the U.S. If you have knowledge and experience in the U.S job market, you can pretty much apply the same principles to the Canadian job market(with a few variations)
I'm in IT for the past 10 years with 5 years exp. in the US. I had enough of it and thinking of changing fields.
I know that CEO, CFO, Medical professionals make more than 100k, but it's a long shot to get into these fields. Hence looking for other options without trading standard of living.

How many of these do you see as CEO, CFO or equivalent, probably not even 10%. They all made $100K and more in 2009.

If you are looking for $300,000-$400,000 then you should have framed your question that way.
If you are in IT for 10 years, you probably already have colleagues who all make $100,000 or more a year!

If you were a local born and educated person, you have more chances of getting more than $ 100K for most types of jobs incl. Plumbing, electrician, being in Civil service for 10 years + etc...
However, since you are a desi with IT experience, I will list out the professions where you can make more than 100K
1. All IT positions in the PM range in reputed companies
2. Speciliased positions like DBA, SAP, COGNOS, Informatica.
3. A contractor in an IT position can make more than 100K. (but you need frequent contracts)
4. Being a IT contractor to the Govt. (esp. for e-health). This is more safe and has longer contract periods. However, there will be a security / credit check.
Other than IT (as per redflagdeals website)
1. Trades (plumbing, electrical, welding etc.. - DOnot include construction)
2. Nursing (close to 100K)
3. MEdical technologists (x-ray etc..). Ateast 80K
4. Trading / Forex / futures (highly volatile)
5. Mortgage broker / Real estate agent
6. Immigration / Refugee claims
7. Univ. professor
8. Working in remote oil installations in Fort McMurray, Alberta
9. TTC Driver / collector with overtime (you are even allowed some sleeping on job)
10. Franchise like Tim Hortons, Pizza Nova etc...
I am sure that VM could mention a few more, as he has more experience in this country.
