I need to send some money to India.Anyone recently surveyed the best way?

Western union is the best way of secured and good rate without risk.

You can try Moneygram (https://www.moneygram.com) , they may have better rate....however it is easy if you are sending to Big city....I sent to Delhi and it was much easier than a small city in rural India. Again 50000 or plus can only be withdrawn by Cheque (GOI rule) but you can split call them for suggestions. Again if you are sending to small city check the site for where they can receive also it is preferred to contact a non-banking place (avoiding Big Sarkari bank in smaller city).

I have a loan from HDFC LTD in India.Is it possible to send money directly to my account thru money gram or uae exchange?If not then, I can send money to HDFC Bank Ltd account?

on the lighter note: Just give me the money, I will send it to India ..no worries

It may not be possible through Money Gram/Western Union to directly deposit to your bank account in India. You will need to send it someone in India, they can cash it by showing their ID and then deposit it in your account. Alternatively, you can go through ICICI Bank or State Bank of India if you want to transfer directly to a bank account.

I believe that UAE exchange has thE option to send money to bank accounts.
