Which Indian doesn't know about "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" song that shows the love, democracy and India's pride. "Mile sur mera tumhara" was conceptualised and conceived by late Suresh Mallick and it was first aired on Doordarshan on Aug 15, 1988.

Definitely the old one was better - they had personalities from wider professions..

definetely the old one was better in my opinion.
I was just reading in "the Times of India", that due to not -so-good response to the new version, they are trying to re-make it with Sachin Tendulkar and some other cricket personalities included.

No disrespect to the likes of Amitabh Bachan and Sachin Tendulkar they have indeed achieved a lot, but surely we can look beyond movies and cricket.

You only get once chance at these things and the film-makers blew it. Whats the point in remaking a remake??
