I am looking for someone who might be wanting to send some money (about Rs. 50,000) to India.
The reason is that one of my dear cousins wants some medicine which is manufactured only in Canada and I am taking it with me 10 days later. The cost of those medicines is about $1150 and I still have to buy it (it is availble only against local prescription which I have just got). The thing is, while it is necessary for me to take that medicine, I really do not want any indian currency since I have enough of my own lying in India.
That being the case, I can get the money delivered to anyone in India (Delhi/Bombay/Jaipur or may be some other town too) if someone wants to transfer funds at a higher than what local bank would give them (say, middle rate of buy and sell). They can give me dollars and hisaab settled.
Anyone who might have a doubt that I am trying to get dollars at a middle rate can actually buy the medicine on my behalf (ELMIRON 100 mg) and give me the bottles rather than money.
Urgent response needed since I have to order the medicine soon (pharmacies do not keep much quantity of this medicine with them).

I don't think Chandresh is promoting a service, I see that it is a one time deal if some one is willing.

I guess this is a service of transfering money to india where the op can post this in "classifieds" are would have been asked for the service providers who can do this in "charcha".
Instead the OP is directly looking for people who are willing to transfer the funds in charcha instead of classifieds.
The OP is more exerienced than lot of members in this forum where he can find the ways to get his needs instead of looking for people in charcha..

This can also be a case where OP is looking for other suggestions. In that case, wont charcha be the best place for him to post? Anyways, I will leave it up to the mods and seniors.
I dont know if you are open to getting a bank darft issued by a bank in India (example is SBI) in CAD in your name payable at a Canadian bank. If you are, when you are back in Canada, you can put it in you CAD account in any bank. I think sometimes there is a 5 - 10 day hold. When I came initially in 2004, thats what I did.
