im a canadian citizan living in india for 8 years and recently got married. id like to come back and sponser my husband should i do it from india or canada. is there a spouse visas also so i can take my husband with me when i go

You do NOT need to return to Canada simply for sponsoring your spouse. You may do so from India. As of Feb 17, 2003, there will be a new system to ensure faster processing of spouses.

There is NO visa (as such) that will allow youto bring your spouse with you anytime soon. The only way he can come before you even sponsor him is if he has a student visa.

thanks for the reply masood
i will still be comming to canada before my spouse, but will there be any difference in the time taken for the sponserhip to process. would it be faster if i was in canada or in india. or does it not make a difference.

Dear Massood,

My husband was unable to finish his undergrads in India(completed 2 of three years of Mathematics majors), will this be a problem in my sponsoring him also can he join any University there based on his experience he is a Senior Derivatives Analyst. Someone told us of a degree that is available online based on experience are these kind of degrees valid in Canada and would it help him in getting a job. Would you be in a position to handle my case!!!?

Your husband's education is not directly relevant to his eligibility to be sponsored by you.

Beware of online degrees. They may not be recognised in Canada.

Job prospects will depend on experience and qualifications.
