Baby coming in canada/PR being processed

Hi

I am in Canada on workpermit. I applied for permanent residency in Canada via provincial nomination and the file is now in Newyork. In the mean while, my wife bacame pregnent. Due to her pregnency she could not be X-Rayed but all other medical tests were done and Newyork office has received the medicals.

My question is that since the child will be a born canadian citizen, what formalities are required from our side with respect to informing CIC of the new addition of a family member. Do we have to submit the complete PR application package again.

Congratulations to you both. By now The Immigration Department also knows that your wife is pregnant and is having a baby.

After the Baby's arrival, you provide them with a Birth Certificate and all of the details that you will be providing to get that certificate at the Hospital where the baby will get delivered. Please keep all of the Hospital Records and the names of the Doctors and the date and time etc., from their official documents.

After you obtain the Birth Certificate all you do is apply for a Canadian Passport for the baby with the requisite pictures and fees. The Application forms are available at the local Post Offices for you to pick up and fill in. They will also provide you an envelope to mail all of the filled application to their offices. Please try and keep a copy for your files for the future use.

Please take your time to study the same and prepare yourself.
