Didn't happen so far... sometimes I get the hard ice on the glass, which is not easy to scrape off... I pour hotwater with a steel glass and scrape... worked so far... I did a bit of googling after reading this.. looks like I shouldn't be doing it anymore... instead use a de-icing soln... gotto check out homedepot this weekend.

I have kept de-icer (windshield water) in bottle, which I use to spray. You can spray to de-ice key-hole, side mirror. Spray before scrapping.

--I brought high-duty salt which works in -40 also
--used that Ice scrapper metal one, scrapped all ice from bottom and side where I could reach
--thank god it was sunny yesterday it helped
--I used hot water on the side of garage door and used metal scraper at the bottom to give grip to pull it up
and finally it did
suprised to see indside, that ice was bulit up at the bottom of garage door bcz the level of garage was law inside than outside so water came inside.
learned lession-to make sure to clean all snow which falls from roof of garage which blocked water to go out side
-keep winter equipment home and specially inside of house not in garage where I couldn't reach
