I know of a few people who have been using Acanac and are satisfied. A few things to keep in mind about Acanac:

1. There is extra monthly charge for a dry loop
2. The promo rate of $19 is only for a year, after that it goes up to $33 or so. So best would be to cancel after a year and switch to another provider, 'cause $33 / month is rip-off

Totally agree with sudesing,
I recently moved to ACNAC from rogers and totally satisfied. I did not find much difference at all. I am still able to stream videos and watch online movies and last but not least i keep it on all the time with some desi TV channels.
so far is good and hope this continues further

I have been using Acanac for several months now and I am happy with the service. I have not experienced any major problems. My internet usage is somewhat basic though.

Since I have not used other services, I am not in a position to provide any comparison.

Dryloop will be charged only if someone does not have a phone line...correct? I agree with you to cancel it after one year...as $33 would be ripoff.

How about the teksavvy or any other providers who have similar offers.

If you do not have a regular landline, then you will need to pay extra for dry loop. Teksavvy offers high speed internet at $30+tax. Which offer are you talking about? Teksavvy's service is good though.

Thanks guys for the above information. I am also considering a move to Acanac for home phone (9.95) and internet(19.95), as I am paying a fortune for phone and internet($20 and $45 respectively). Couldn't believe I spent so much in the last few months when the options are readily available. Of-course I will too (as others) cancel this after an year. This is an inconvenience, but heck, I am saving a hell lot of money in the meantime.

How's Acanac's home phone? Any disturbances at all, call quality etc.? Also, how's the download speed for internet? Do you need to wait for the youtube videos to stream or are they downloaded in no time? What about movies off torrents? Please let me know if you're already using these services.

Thanks!
