MOST ECONOMICAL HIGH SPEED INTERNET CONNECTION.(June20,05)
Hi, friends.I am from India and stay in Toronto/GTA/Dufferin area.
I need to know of the most economical high speed internet cable installation and service(NO PHONE LINES)for use on my PC or LAPTOP.
Once you have a broad bandcable, you can always install the VOIP service, and thus have a phone connection too operating thru the net.
There are attractive packages from Rogers, but seem a bit on the higher side.
Any suggestions,advice?

AFAIK Rogers has a cap on the D/L & U/L on some of their lower end plans. That could be a show stopper if you are trying to connect a VoIP.
You don't you go in for a DSL. As per the latest ruling of the CRTC you should be able to get one without a landline. I have a DSl with 3web (www.3web.com), and an happy with their service. Their rates are reasonable too.

Dear All,
I am currently using the HIGH-SPEED internet from Rogers. The monthly commitment is approx. 49 $. I run some customised softwares, Microsft basic application and regular emailing etc. I was just wondering, whether I can go for a step-down service, i.e. Ultra lite or Lite etc?..
Please suggest.
Regards,
VJ.
