Someone told me that new immigrants can get Free French Language Classes.I tried checking with ymca,costi,access etc...but they cud not give any concrete information.

Anyone knows about it?

U can get free Spanish, Portugese and a few other foreign language classes from the Peel disctrict school board.

i could not find French in their list...

The classes started on 13 Sep 2008, last date for registration is 20 Sep.

Contact International Language section of peel school board..

The classes will run till Jun 2009.. (Yes a whole year)


Here u can go for ESL (English as second language) clases which is free

I presume in Quebec u go for FSL (French as Second Language)

So, i guess no one is offering French!

I do not know any but just to take chance, you can call a Francophone office (it is HRDC - French language) and inquire.
