Hi,
I am in the final stages of the US green card and due to the recent heavy backlog, it might be years before I get my green card. So, I have decided to go to Montreal to study. I plan to study French. Once there, I plan on applying for PR from the Quebec quota. I have 6 years of US experience in a high demand occupation. I took the points quiz on the quebec immigration website and I qualify for quebec immigration.
How long does it take to get the CSQ? Once I get that, how long does it take to get the medical and police clearance from Buffalo?
please post your experiences. Nitin, could you PM me the links too?
Thanks!

Nitin,
Thanks for the link with fees. What I am trying to say is that Quebec charges same fees as Federal process and they charge some more.
Did they charge you this fees or not? Please visit the link below for the fees.

I would tell you one thing if you like Montreal go for your Quebec application, even with your English language you will be able to manage.
Koz what I have heard from my cuz in Montreal, most people understand some English in Montreal.
In my application I am claiming french as my first language but I am applying to the Federal Gov.
So the reverse must also be OK, claiming English as your main language but applying to Quebec.
The difference would be that for Quebec you will surely be interviewed but for Federal Gov. you may still have a waiver.
If you planning to study when you immigrate to Canada then Quebec could offer cheaper University fee for PR holders as they are subsidise firstly by the federal gov & secondly by Quebec gov....
Good Luck in your decision
