There's no Tom Cruise in this movie. Richard Gere is the one who plays the leading role.

Hotel Rwanda - Wonderful acting by Don Cheadle.

The last king of Scotland - Based on Idi Amin's life. Not a Hollywood movie, but a good watch nonetheless.

Yes .... you are right ... my bad ........... its been a long time ... 20 years or so ... watched around the same time as Top Gun hence confused ......but neverthless an excellent movie ........


Life is Beautiful is a class apart and tops my list ... Nice to know JRF has included it as well .... Bonjorina Princess ...... optimism heightened and personified .

Has anyone watched 'CLOSER' featuring Julia roberts? It has an adult theme, but very beautiful and sensual movie - the dialogues are mature, not suitable for viewing with kids under 14. The supporting actress Natalie Portman (or I can say she was the lead...maybe) was amazing in that movie.

I liked the New Casino Royale from 007, amazing action and stunts.
The evergreen classic TITANIC.

Thanks JRF for starting this thread, I now have new targets for 2008 weekends..:D :cheers:

I don't know how many of us really liked the movie, I really liked the subject and Knight's unique slow paced style. Similarly enjoyed "The others", a suspense thriller, the ending was amazing really. Try getting "The others" movie casting Nicole Kidman, you wouldn't regret.
