How strong is India in Defense technology?

So much of news about missile launch, building up indigenous weapons, submarines, warplanes etc…

R V REALLY GETTING STRONG?

Is any body has any figures or facts about Indian defense capabilities?

Being an Indian I thought we should also know little bit about our home land country.

Please putt you feedback if we are doing good or Indian Govt or HRDO just give us bigger picture and miss lead us.

India is definitely doing very good for a 60 year old independece era and my guess is India is past the threshold.. meaning, no country can easily defeat or occupy India. Does it really matter how much nuclear weapons any country pocess - whether enough to destroy the world over once or 100 times?

India will become strong when it defeats poverty, divisionism (region, community, language etc. based) and corruption. Military might mean nothing much - see USSR's example.

I doubt if you will ever hear anything 'real'. Couple of my family members are in Army and one of them is a brigadiar now. He just smiles if I ever ask abt these, though he talks at length abt everything else!
