Hello everyone,

It is nice to find this website, I need all your advice as I can not find this information anywhere else.

My husband and I sponsored my parents to immigrate Canada 2 years ago. They were all retired and have low income at backhome, of cource they do not have job in Canada. Recently, they told us they wanted to apply for the non-profit senior home, probably they only need to pay about $300 a month, and then they won't need to live with us and they can have their own life. For sure the senior home rental expense is much lower than the market value. But my friend told me it is true that my parents will need to pay about $300 per month, but we have to pay the balance conparing the market value, may be another few hundreds $, as we sponsored them and we have to payoff all their expenses in Canada. I have no idea on this policy, and looking for your advice.
