Did anybody watch Chicago auditions for America has got talent yesterday?

One pakistani guy did a bollywood number and was selected in the next round. I laughed when one of the judges, Sharon Osburn, asked him if there was one dance or many bollywood dances.

I watched it. It was funny man. Don't know why they pushed him to the next round. May be it was something different to them. I am sure, if someone else, a good professional dancer may have danced on the song (Ik pal ka jeena), he/she would've got a really good chance of winning.

But, a good show to see a south asian and bollywood inspired dancer on the show.

Look at it this way. This guy had guts and participated. I really appeciate his guts because he is not born and raised in US. He is in the US only for 4 yrs. Generally those who are born in US are not that shy and are willing to take chances. Next round there will many desis doing bollywood dances and let's hope some professionals will come out and vow Ameica. After all the grand prize is a one mil.

Lana I agree, he was really comfortable in what he did...not at all shy. As Indians we know that it was a crap dance but no denying that it was indeed very funny...I also laughed a lot...his expression was also funny.

Well, there might be a connection here.
Since, Simon Cowell is the executive producer of this show. So, they want the full entertainment of audience by make this guy go to the next round, just like they did with Sanjaya in American Idol.

There might be entertainment factor but crowd was cheering for him. It is a novelty for the crowd. Let me tell you the bollywood dances are really a very good entertainment. We may tend to underestimate it. But for an outsider, it is a great entertainment.

Saw that. It was entertaining. His casual dress was something. Long baggy pants and full arm shirt. No stage fear.
