Dear All

Cic has requested for the submission of passport which i did in new delhi . I am working in canada and after submission it was discovered that cic has to make background check on my case . which they said will take about 5 months process .

I have requested them passport back to return to canda as i work there .

They have done that. Now how would i know that cic is doing the background check , also is there somewhere i can contact and find out if backgroudn check is performed and completed

pLEASE ADVISE HOW DO I MOVE FORWARD TO FIND OUT ABOUT MY CASE . I AM RETURNING TO CANADA AND I DONT WANT TO COME BACK AGAIN AFTER THE BACKGROUND CHECK IS PERFORMED ,

IS IT POSSIBKLE TO GET THE PR IN CANADA ITSELF ONCE THE BACKGROUND IS PERFORMED

The only way to know is to Fax or email that consulate. From your information, I understand that you have submitted your application to New Delhi consulate. So, email them to ask about status of your file.
