Hi Mr.Massood

Hope u and your team are fine. Mr. Massood, yet there is no information from chc. If they would have atleast informed that they received the application and in process I would have been in little relief. Status same we started processing from 20th Jan.03, Mr. Masood my application was in process from 2001 then the appeal etc. Now will the application processing be from the new date ( last month) or will they consider it as from the old date.

With warm wishes and prayers

It is not a new 'start' date for your processing. They will take into account the original application.

Dear Mr. Masood,

I am facing somewhat similar problem like Latashiv on e client status. SInce my medicals my e client status displays the similar msg. like

'We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons..."

When I asked my local agent he said nothing to worry. They are doing background security check. But that is going on since July 2003 till today. And e client status is not changing its text at all for all these days.

At first I thought something is wrong with my computer. Because when I checked E - CAS of other two friend it gave the same msg. One of them has recently got his visa eventhough his application dat is same is mine and did medical 15 days after me.

Could you interprete / explain the reason for my E CAS msg.
I have also submitted the form to you for checking my status. I would be very much obliged if you expedite sparing your valuable time.

Bharat --

E-client is not very reliable.
Do not depend on e-client too much, and you will sleep better.
When my case was being processed, I used to find e-client so erratic that one day I could see status and the very next day it couldn't find my file.
It is very much a work-in-progress for CIC and in any case, it gives very little information.

Your agent could be right.
Background/security check is the "black hole" of Canadian immigration.
It is beyond the control of CHC and CIC, which is why e-client cannot show any status for that.
Depending on which countries you have lived in, this process can take anywhere from 6 months to well over a year.

You should not try and predict your timeline simply based on someone else case date.
Each case is unique and is processed at its own pace.
Even if the two of you are "langotia yaar" and went to the same school, same college and work in the same job, timeline can vary a lot.
If you are really that worried, ask your agent to get your CAIPS notes.

Hope this helps.
