Experts(Good Samaritans),
My Post grad work permit is expiring and my company as a policy does not apply or extend a WP
. My PR application is 10 months into processing and I have about 5 months before my Post Grad work permit expires. What options do I have to keep the job I have with my company?
a) Can I do anything to speed up the PR application process?
b) Since my company won't file for LMO or do anything to apply for my work permit, can I do anything on my own to keep my current job?
c) Also I added my wife to my PR application midway through the process (I got married while my PR application was being processed). So would that slow down the processing time further?
Thanks a ton.

Here is an article that I came across from a CBC website. If it will be of any help to you and your situation is not known to me. Please be guided accordingly. A try is always worth it.

Something more to chew on. Call them and find out if you do stand a chance. But don't shell out, if they want any dough.
Try your Alma Mater and the Dean where you studied and see if there be a job suitable, where you can hang in there, till it all blows over.

I am not qualified to answer the second half of the question.
"William Ockham (c. 1285–1349) … is remembered as an influential nominalist, but his popular fame as a great logician rests chiefly on the maxim known as Ockham's razor. 'Entia non sunt multiplicanda praeter necessitatem' or "Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily"
Hang in there.
Freddie.

Thank you for your patience.

two choice! apply for a study permit, but u have at least to spend 10,000 for a full time international student diploma/course (2 semester) . then get ur wife on visit visas here and she can work legally as long as u have legal status here and u too can work after 6 months legally in the 2 semester period then u can get a work permit for a year free after completing the diploma/certificate, so u can get at least 2 yrs and normally a processing time for PR is minimum 3 yrs.
or else try some other company who can give u a work permit as long as hrdc approved it. again i dont know how well it will work for u, but for me it had worked the best
good luck.

Thanks everyone for the response and for the options. Thanks FTFL for your links. They are useful.
Just reiterating a few key things with my case. I am confident that I will get a company to sponsor a work permit for me. So I am not worried about how to stay in Canada. My primary aim is to retain the job I have. So in relates to that what I want to find out is
a) How can I speed up my PR processing ?
b) Do I have any alternative to apply for LMO if my company is not ready to do the paperwork.
c) My change of marital status from single to married, will that cause further delays in the already long PR process?
Thanks.
