Seious Advice - Do not listen to Immigration Consultants (all they want is your money)

Yes there is a job boom in Alberta. They need people to - drive trucks, work in stores as Sales Clerks, etc. The pay is good - $12-15 per hour.

BUT - Alberta is a cold place. Be prepared to do a lot of physical and manual labour.

If you are uneducated or do not have a job in India, then yes come over and you will make great money.

But if you are working in a decent job - DO NOT BE FOOLED BY SUCH ADS.

I was in India recently and I could not believe the amount of progress india has done is past couple of years. Yes I agree there are problems but do weigh everything before you make the mistake.

The process of Work Permit is very simple. There are some jobs in Canada for which the employers can not find people in Canada for. In that case HRDC will issue a letter to the employer that he can hire any person from accross the globe to do that job.

There is some category of jobs that HRDC has given clearance for. Under this category the company does can hire people from anywhere outside canada. The person will be hired on a Work Permit. These Work Permits are basically contracts of One Year duration between you and the company.

These Immigration experts will get you a work permit thru (Hera Pheri). There will be no job when you arrive here. You will have to find a job on your own or work underground (on cash basis - where you will be paid like $8 an hour) and you will be made to work like a dog. Check all the paper work before paying any body anything. 99% of these Immigration Experts are crooks.
