We have new baby born child and we would like to travel the New York, USA from Toronto, ON Canada by road ( by car ).

We apply for Birth Registation for new born child. He is 4 months old. Still we don't get the Birth Registration and Bith Certificate But I have DIVISION REGISTRAR'S STATEMENT which indicate that We apply for Bith Registration and He born in Toronto, ON in Scarborough Grace Hospital.

My question is:
1. Should this DIVISION REGISTRAR'S STATEMENT is valid to enter in USA and comback in CANADA?
2. Should we need another document?

Do hospitals give out any form of "birth record" document?

My thinking is that the border officials may ask for, at a minimum, a document that shows the name of the child along with both the parents' names.
