If you have a tri or quad band phone yes it will work in Canada. Rogers and their subsidiary Fido are the only GSM networks I know of.

A bigger question you might want to ask if how the reception and signal strength is in the area you are considering.

I have Fido and my signal completely disappears in different parts of my office.
