Hi Folks,
I have been reading some of the posts and I really find these forums extremely useful. I have a question of my own, hope you all can help. I have my mother visiting me from India, since we are expecting a baby..she has her pasport stamped for a year. Her 6 mths finish in January, 2007 and I was hoping to get it extended so that she could stay for a few more months after the delivery. Her year is finishing in May, 2007. I wanted to know if any fellow CD's have experience with that and also how to go about the whole process..any expereiences you would like to share. Hoping for a flurry of replies so that it helps us in our decision making process. Thanks guys.
Do not have any relevant experience when it comes to extending the visa. Here are a few links you could use.
****Apply at least 30 days before current visa expires***

I know atleast 3 families who got their parents visa extendedfor ana additional 6 months. It should not be a problem provided you go about it in the proper manner.
Download the forms linked by jake3D and make sure that you provide sufficient documentation (quote for health insurance, proof of return ticket etc) and remember to apply no later than 30 days before the visa expires.
All the best,
