We will be immigrating on pr visa in nov.06.
My daughter is doing 2nd year of FINE ARTS from bombay.
Her academic year started in June 06 but since we will move in Nov.06. how do we get about her education.
Please let me know whether she will be taken in college or university?
Which colleges offer FINE ARTS-STUDIO program in Mississauga?
Whether she will get credits for what she has done in bombay?

Hey, I would seriously recommend thinking beyond Toronto for college, some art schools are:
Ontario College of Art and Design
Emily Carr Institute (BC)
Albert College of Art and Design (AB)
Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.

If she's looking at taking some courses in subjects that aren't directly related to fine art then she should look at various Universities. For examply, I know 2 of my friends who are majoring in fine arts (graphic design) who took history (not art history) and communication at SFU.

Regarding credit transfer, I don't see why she can't get credits for her courses in Mumbai. You should talk to the college/University and get help from World Education Services (WES) http://www.wes.org." rel="nofollow">LINK I don't know if Canadian universities approve of WES credential evaluation, but you should e-mail them and check.
