need to know how much time it will take for the passport request after medicals. it have done my medicals in April 2006, but still waiting for any updates. my file was moved to NY in feb,06 and in april,06 i got my medicals with interview waived off.

time starts to tick once you get your passport request as the yr time that is given to do your landing is taken from the date od medcals taken . we got our passport request from Detroit where they allow to come personally to the councelate and have passports stamped. that takes one day. if you send it by mail then it can take upto 6-8 weeks.

thx for ur reply Janmeja. does anyone knoe how much time it normally takes after the medicals and file is in NY. my friend got passport request in 3 months after the medicals. he said after medicals it shouldn't take long, but anyone has idea about how much time frame with Consulate General in New York. file was moved there in march 06 and got medicals in april 06 but after that no updates yet.............
