Hi,
Any ideas on where you can get good birthday cakes . I would like good theme cakes . A place where you can see some pictures and choose the shape and decor of the cake.

Sams Club, good choices and reasonably priced. You'll need a membership for $45 or I think U can get a one time entry. For that they charge around 5-10% service charges

Thanks for the replies. I still want to confirm when u mean sam's club isnt it costco . I do have membership there...so I guess i can get a good cake from there for my kids birthday.
Loblaws does theme cakes..
i always get it done there for my son's bdays.

Sams Club is not Costco. It's like Costco, but belongs to the Walmart family. Costco has standard square/rectangle cakes, that too in limited designs. All they do is put in any inscription you want to.
OTOH Sams Club has a catalogue and can make custom cakes of various themes for you. I does work out a little expensive as compared to Costco, but for a few extra $$, you're putting a smile on the childs face. Infact if you give them a picture of your child they'll even put that on the cake
You could just walk into a Sams Club and ask for a day pass and check out the bakery section.

Today I went to Loblaws and saw their catalouge.
It was not too good but had some common themes like Barbie, Nemo, Harry potter, LOTR etc.. At thhe max. they has around 12 themes and 36 choices.
A normal theme 14"x10"cake is around $18.99. A theme cake with Black forrest in fill is $25.99. A 14"x 20" themen cake with Black forrest infill is around $36.99. Taxes are extra (if at all there is ).
