I can fully understand the difficulty in coming up with a reason to let your MIL stay longer...who wouldn't, eh?
On the other hand, your question is quite vague. You should know why she needs to stay with you folks longer - medical reasons, unable to travel now, just like that...wants to stay, can't be away from SIL
