I'm a canadian citizen. My husband is coming from US after a 3 month absence. He had been in the States to start a business but unfortunately it didn't work out. He's got a job in Canada and is moving back. I am also in the States to help with the move. Now the shipping company is going to leave before either one of us. They asked one of us to be in Canada bf they get there. My question is, is it okay if I go first with the list of goods to follow since my hubby still has a few obligations he needs to take care of bf joining me? Would customs have a problem? Both our names are on the list of goods. Do I give the list to immigration officer or to the customs officer...or both?
I'd appreciate any response. Thnks.

No problem at all. Just tell the truth and explain to any officer who asks questions. The list can have both names.

Hi again!
I took the list to the customs/immigration officer but she didn't accept it from me saying that since the items belong to my husband, he should be the one to bring it. My husband's flight was the next morning and I didn't have time to get him the list given to me by the shipping company. There was only 1 copy unfortunately. When my husband got here, they simply asked him what the items were and he said they were household items, furniture, clothes, etc. They said okay, but never filled out a form of any kind or stamped anything. My question is regarding customs clearence. Do we simply go to them and give them the list we have or do we still have to go and get it stamped? Or should we go back and asked them for B4 form?

Thank you for your help.
