Just putting down my thoughts on the expereinces I had with these two airlines. I was going to Vancouver on May 20. Air Canada turned out to be the cheapest at CAD 229. Had never travelled by Air Canada so decided to go for it.

1. Rude Staff. I know in North America, airlines are like ST buses in India but I still refuse to accept that reasoning for not smiling at your customers. As soon as I entered the aircraft and smiled at the flight attendant, he looked the other way and started talking to his colleague.

2. Flithy aircraft. The whole look of the Boeing was very dirty and down market. Dirty carpets, seat fabrics, curtains.

3. Didn't try the food cuz I feel it's ridiculous to buy subway sandwiches and pizzapizza slices on a aircraft. Come on Air Canada, at least attempt to do a better job! Just had a complimentry glass of juice.

4. Entaritainment was nothing great. They showed king kong. watched it to pass time mainly.

5. when we took off, the captain didn't say anything about the route he was going to take to vancouver. All he said was it will be a 4 hour 45 minute flight. As if we didn't know that already!

6. Staff continued to be grumpy thru out the flight. Didn't see any of them smile for the entire 5 hour duration. They didnt even smile at any of the customers when we were deplaning.

7. Air Canada charges CAD 2 for a pillow and blanket!

Return journey was via Harmony air. Fare paid CAD 229.

1. Friendly staff. The hostess at the door as I was entereing had a big smile on her face. greeted everyone and even guided people to their seats.

2. Flithy aircraft. Dirty look to the carpets, seat fabrics and cutrains.

3. They gave us complimentry breakfast! That sure was a shocker. Food was OK. way superior to Air canada anyway.

4. Good entairtainment. Kept us going. Didnt feel the length of the flight as I did with Air Canada.

5. Captain announced after take off the route he would be taking. Even told us to watch out for the picturesque fraser valley as soon we take off. The flight took 4 hours in all. Wonder why Air Canada took 45 minutes extra!

6. Staff continued to smile and very friendly thru out the flight. They even gave us the flimsy ear phones. Air Canada took it's ear phones back! Pillow and blankets were complimentry too.
