Hi to all CD
As many of us are thinking for import export business i was wondering if anyone with knowledge through light on..

1>How can person get licence..Dose he has to go for any kind of exam?
2>I Heard that from india we can bring some goods for 250 Rs per kg if i want to bring some house hold thing do i have to pay excise or custom over that ?
3>On my website i wanted to put facility for payment on Credit card ..How can we do that?

are you geting your personal goods? or are you starting abusiness. Re these goods on your landing list to follow?

I think '7 wonders' has clearly stated that he is thinking of export-import business - nothing to do with his personal goods or goods to follow list. He is talking about licences and credit card payments on his web-site. Do you think this has any connection with personal goods or goods to follow?

Do you mean to say that you want to know if there is any licencing requirement for brining in your personal things, and if you have to appear for any exam to get that licence? ......and after that what is the connection of credit card payment from your web-site. I am a bit confused - can you clarify?

no you dont need any licience for personal goods. I would suggest you use an airline instead of a courrier. that will be very expensive. If your goods are heavy i.e. talk to say air canada -cargo dept . they will tell you the procedure. if these goods were on you list of goods to follow then you will not be charged any duty. we are allowed to bring in any amount at the time of immigration.

if not then you can give the airline or agent a list of your goods, they will let you know how much duty you need to pay beforehand. you can pay for the shipping from here on you credit card.

we got some curtains,4 carpets,cushion covers last yr -carried them with us - there were at least 100 curtains we paid 200$ in all .

Let me clear one thing first.
I am already in Canada.I am wondering to import some art work from india that would be as sample and wated to post on my website to sell.That is indian art like paintings,religious frames and all.So i dont want to take risk by taking licence without seeing response here.So once i got it here i will update in my website.But again cofusion is how can my website would able to accept payment if somebody order.Sorry to write in brief before.I hope now you can understand my problem.Thanks
