I am having 7 yrs exp in IT and over 4 yrs in .NET (ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET). At present I am working in USA. Very soon I am planning to move to Canada. Could you please guide me which cities has more demand in .NET Technology?

Does anybody have a list of IT recruiting company's website/e-mail id ?

I really appreciated your support.

My reply doesnt have anything to do with the .net question you asked, though I will advise to check various websites ie/ workopolis.com, monster.ca, working.com etc

I noticed that you wrote "I am having 7 years exp in IT..."
Grammatically you want to say "I HAVE 7 years exp in IT"
it will sound better in an interview or on a cover letter/resume.

Good luck.

Vick202,

Keep Ottawa under the microscope. Its the silicon valley of canada. Lot of tech firms. Talk to CGI.

morning_rain,

C'mon. Dont jump on the guy/gal. We all do these mistakes.

DIO,
My wife (She is Oracle + D2K) says that ottawa has a lot of job oppertunities for people with skills such as hers. She also says that Montreal and Vancouver also has lot of openings for skills of her expertise. In your opinion , do you agree with it? But at the end (due to my job place) she has to work now in Burlington.
Thanks
TK

Interesting aspect on the usage of "having" instead of have. After having (no sarcasm intended in this usage:) ) read several India based news items and articles, and my mom's emails, the usage of "having" seems very common. Examples: "I am having high BP", instead of, "I have high BP".

I have been trying to find out if that usage is grammatically right or not. As far as I know, it is not an accepted usage in NA english. Couldn't find any references in any GMAT lesson books.

Any takers?

It is important to write a reasonably grammatically correct resume. Let's take Morning Rain's comments as constructive criticism.

As far as opportunities go, I have been hearing few IT based people finding jobs in the Windsor area. One of them recently joined a trucking firm to help the company expand its technical capabilities. The other option is to live in Windsor and commute across to work in the Detroit area.

TK,

Ottawa and Montreal should be ok. Dont know abt Vancouver. Since federal govt is the largest employer in Ottawa/Gatineau area, there could be prospects for consultants. U Could also start looking for a job in the area. Dont let her leave her job now to start looking for a job. Start talking to big firms such as CGI.
