Can you please clarify. I understand that anyone NOT having port of landing for Quebec may get some problem if trying to land there. However, my issue is otherwise.

I have got landing documents for Montreal but wishes to land in Toronto.

Can I do so ? Please advise.

i think u do immingration to Quebec, Montreal.i am not sure if u do immingration to qubec montreal and u have landing papper to montreal u need to land montreal first after u r free to move any where in canada.

Well, I know it would be much more straight forward to land in Montreal and then move to other parts of Canada. However, as I will be accompanied by my family and small kids, this will not be much practical and cost effective also, as I want to settle down in the Toronto area.

My question is whether I can directly settle in Toronto, though I have got port of entry as Montreal, instead of landing in Montreal then moving to Toronto.

Please advise as I am running out of time (and money ...)

ones u can land in montreal u can move in toronto for this u need to wait for yur sin card which one u help for applying for job means u need to stay some time in montreal.

Please, Mr Massood, I want to have your legal advise on this issue. Am I allowed to land and settle directly in Toronto, without going through the hassle of landing in Montreal and then moving on to Toronto?

As lready explained, I have been selected under the provincial programme and got a CSQ and in my documents, the port of entry has been specified as Montreal.

Landing in Montreal and then moving to Toronto might be an issue for me moneywise and effortwise and I have got two small kids travelling with me.

Please advise me urgently as I have to book my tickets and make necessary arrangements accordingly.

You have been selected for a PR specifically by Quebec because you have mentioned your intended destination as Quebec.
Had you mentioned your intended destination as anything other than Quebec, your selection parameters would have been different.

montreal is agood place. a lot more jobs than any other place. so you are lucky that you can land in Quebec. so make the most of it.
