Processing times for applicants in India
Dear all,

I am planning to apply under skilled immigrant catergory. Recently i have been hearing that the total processing time to Canada ( total processing time i meant is the time from tbe date i receive my file no. ) is round about 4 yrs, from India.

i am really concern about this long time take to process the application. Can any body give me correct picture for the same, as the cic.gc.ca site give only the tentative processing time.

Also i want to know whether the processing time depends upon the skill we have that is , Is there seprate queue for different proffesional and that the visas are release according to the different job vacancies generated? ( ie Is the processing time is depentent on particalar skill )

if you were to go through a province sponcer programme then this will be faster. basically eacxh of the 9 provinces have needs. if you pass their criteria then you promise to live in their provice and work their. that i am told is faster. for regular skilled worker it is 4 yrs from india. somtimes it can be earlier or even later. our friend applied in 2000 and got his within 9 months . we onthe other hand applied in the states and it took us 3 years.
