Hi,
This is the first time,I'm posting to this site.

I'm coming down to Winnipeg in Nov.'05.

What are the things you suggest me to bring while coming there ?

I'm coming for long term [I've got a job there]

I know..... my question is very general... but expect sincere posts from you experienced guys !!

It is really nice to land with a job in Canada. All the best and Goodluck to you. Request you to share your experiences in securing a job prior to landing which will go long way for prospective immigrants like me and others to search jobs rightly.

Thanks for your replies.
Raj.. your links are really very helpful in deed.

MP, This company [I cannot disclose name now...] came down to India for talent in IT and they've recruited few other people from India. So now we have job in hand for canada and we will be coming on work permit there and then after few months this company is going to apply for PR/immigration on our behalf.

Believe me ... I've not taken any great pains to come to this company... company came to India and reached to us....
I've only this much to mention here...

you are lucky take full advantage of it. life is diff here but good. lots of warm clothes. but you mifght need to buy here coz the woollens in india are no good for here. but long johns go along way

enjoy the winter and when the spring comes youll love it even more.

bring dollars as much as you can .....all are available here....you can buy from here. you are lucky that you got a job there.
