Thanks guju_canadien
I never ment to use the phrase 'U People' in derogatory sense.I never knew it is considered abusive. Sorry for that.
My background is Mechanical Engineering and MBA with specialisation in Marketing & Finance.Total work experience is 11 years that to in marketing of steel. No hardcore technical engineering experience. Since I
am dealing with Sales & Marketing , I had good exposure to finance also.
I am trying to find out which line of career will be suitable for me once I land up there.
Thanks
Vivek

A Proud Indian Canadian
Hi vivek.
We all understand your qualifications are good. Neither indian engg. degree nor indian MBA can award you a decent job. Your indian experience is not considered. There are some exceptions. Some people are lucky to get a decent job right away. We don't know which company can hire you and where will you go to sell steel in canada. You have bright chances of requalifying yourself as an Engr or as MBA. But this can happen after a few years.
It is difficult to get in the industrial sales.
You need to have hands on exp. on acctg. softwares and platforms in order to get an acctg. job.
most of the indians end up working at stores, gas stations, retail stores, etc... where jobs are easy and pays $7-10
Factory jobs are difficult in some cases where muscle power is required, but the per hour wage is better and there is lots of overtime.
You'll have to figure out yourself once you come here.
