Health expenses for sponsored parents

Dear members,

I know that CIC form contractually requires you to sign 10 year duration for bearing all the expenses (including medical) for sponsored parents. However, if the parents apply for citizenship after 3 years of permanent residency, do they become eligible for OHIP as citizens?

During permanent residency, is there any other recourse available (eg. humanitarian grounds) for medical exigencies?

Any info./advice would be appreciated.

They will be eligible for MSP/OHIP after 3 months of getting PR . Yes ! You will have to sponsor their Dental/Vision ..
