I have applied for PR in india during 2004. Rite knw iam in US from Aug-2005.
Can i file yet another PR application at US instead of transferring the existing file from India. Plz advice.

so that once Canada counslate in US accept this PR application i can pull back my previsous file at India which i have applied earlier ?

--You can transfer your application to USA by writing letter to consulate.Its best of my knowledge still its better to check with CIC call center.

Can you tell me the CIC callcenter number. do i need to call india CIC or US CIC. Plz help. Thanks for the response.

Yes, just write a letter. Also include your proof of being in the US - copies of your visa stamp, apt lease, your job offer letter and few pay checks.

A friend of mine did the same thing. Within few weeks he received a letter stating that his file has been transfered.

I am not sure if there is any such call center for CIC. It was'nt there alteast 1-2 yrs back (that time only communication means were postal mail and fax).
