I applied for skilled catagory from Buffallo and got file number etc, now that I am getting married soon (my spouse is in india at the movement)

Can she submit her application as dependent spouse or ?

Will she be processed under same file number as mine or ?
Does it effect waiting time or ? I mean will she be queued same as my application or as a new applicant?

From where she should apply ? India or US, I am on H1 and in US at the movement and she is in india, planning to get married in Dec/ Jan.

I would appreciate your openions.

You will have to send a letter to Buffalo and request them to add your spouse to your existing application. Please send in the following information along with the request to add your spouse.

1) Updated second page of Application for Permanent Residence IMM 0008,
2) Updated Additional Family Information IMM 5406,
3) Your spouse´s Schedule 1 and IMM 5406
4) Your spouse´s birth certificates,
5) Marriage certificate,
6) Spouse´s education documents,
7) Photos
8) Application fee in the amount of CAD 550 for spouse
9) Copy of passport
10) Police clearance certificate

After the immigration official has reviewed the documents your spouse will be added as a dependent to your application. If they will need any additional information from you they will ask for it.

Based on the educational qualifications of your wife you can get upto 5 additional points. As you have only received AOR as yet adding your spouse will not effect your processing time.
