Dear CD's
We are planning to move to mississauga by next month if evrything goes fine. we shall be moving form DC to miss..
After analysing cost factors for moving we concluded that it is better to sell all big furniture and move/ ship only boxes.
Can someone let me know or advice what is the best way to courier the boxes such as TV (30 inches) and 5 large boxes?
Thanks for the help..
Did you consider renting U-haul truck?

I am not sure as I have to move my car also.
I thought I will drive my car which is just 6-8 hrs drive from DC and send boxes by courier.
But I don't know how is the procedure , like do I have to go and wait in Border for my stuf or I need to go to some collecting center/ warehouse.
I have landed successfully couple of months back and have given list of goods to follow at that time , also have a stamped copy of that with me.
Thanks,
Couriering stuff will be pretty expensive. Try to find movers. When your stuff arrives in Canada, you will have to go to the Customs Bonded Warehouse with your Landing papers (and Goods to Follow list) and have them released from there (no payment required). Once the goods are released your movers will deliver to your apartment.
