Its good to see both of you are gonna be at MAC. I'm going in my final year, so if you need any kinda help lemme know.
hey which program r u into??
Dear Syedali,
Thanks allot. Its a great pleasure to know a senior before joining Mac.
I would like to know where i could get my 1st year books for an economical price.
Please let me know all the important things a level 1 engineering student has to know before joining Mac and how he has to conduct himself etc etc. i am new to Canada(4 months old) and not familiar with the customs and practices at univs in here.
and one more thing, which program r u into, let me know this too.
Bye and thanks once again,
sachin
Sorry dudes, went back home for a little bit so wasnt able to check this. I'm in Comp Eng. Hope you guys had joined all the southasian clubs on campus, such as MIS,MPA, PSA, GSA, HSA and others.
For the books you can check bookswap.mcmaster.ca or the posters in the student center. Or you can drill someone who's a year senior. The only bad thing with engineering books is that people dont usually sell them as you need to refer to them every so often.
If you guys are legal for clubs, do check out 77, fever and funky monkey. Great place to get stress off your head.
But once again, engineering at MAC is as ass-kicking as it is in Waterloo. They make you work, or will simply fail you. You have to keep up. I remember first year intro to programming class, when my prof told us to look at the person at the left and the one at the right, and then said "Only one of you will graduate with a decent grade" !!
mail me at if you need any help with anything.
Have Fun
