Hi!!!!!!!
I am moving to Canada very soon with my husband and will be staying in Toronto.
If anyone of u could adv me what's the chances for getting job in Customer service specially in Shipping field, anyother field also will do, also pls let me know what are the job oppurtunities for an Accountant, as my husband is an accountant.
Suggestions and replies are most welcome.

There are firms that specialize in shipping, warehousing, etc. Number of them are in Mississauga area. Since there is large quantity of goods moving into Canada from USA, there are number of firms who work on shipping/transportation related activities. Look in the yellow pages.
Make sure u have a good knowledge in computers such as Excel, Access, etc. Oral/written communication is very important too.

i am a indian ca. i first came in canada i 2002.now i am in india.
there in canada i tried a lot to get a job in accounting. unfortunately did not get any job in accounting there.
u should join cga immediately after landing .if u r a commerce graduate u may get some level exemption there. however the course takes around 2-3 years to be completed as u have to appear for a single paper after every 3 months.
try to get some entry level job in accounting. though i think that is also not easy.

I would just like to know that after landing in Canada and joining CGA, can we go ahead for a job at the same time and how much does it cost approximately to join CGA.
Does the organizations give jobs to people u are studying CGA at the same time, or we can look for job first and then start CGA.
At the same time would like to inform u that my husband is an M.COM student.

yeah , u can do jobs along with doing cga. cga is a part time course.u have to appear for one paper after every three months.expenses towards doing cga will be around C$ 5000.
it is very tough to get jobs in accounting without any local qualification .though getting jobs might be easier outside of toronto.
