Delhi' population is around 1.40 crores almost 50% of entire canada . crimes may be less in canada . but when as a whole we compare the crime scene in delhi to any city in canada it may be misleading as the sample size is much different.
Normally things are not as bad as it appears.

my friend things are not such bad. lot of women returns to their houses after working.and in evening lot of women goes for evening walks and to market to buy the grossery. there may be stray incidents of crimes . one or two crimes in a city of 1.30 crores. you can imagine its no so bad.

Delhi is not considered a safe place for anyone, let alone women, at night.
