Update
Got Rogers cell phone connection using a US Quadband GSM phone(Motorola V600) just had to buy a sim card for $25 & $50.00 deposit & no need to sign up for any long term plans. (It took 24hrs for T-mobile to send me the unlocking code) and now I'm all set.
And thanks to a CD member who referred a good automechanic in some post in this site
http://www.premiumautorepairs.com
A very good gentleman, it was a transmission job & he charged just $80.00 for transmission fluid flushing & replacing the gasket . They would have charged $400.00 for that in US & while I was driving to canada there was some transmission fluid leak on the way & had it checked by a couple of mechanics one quoted $600.00 & the other quoted $800.00 without even analyzing the problem. Here's one good good experience in Canada after having been ripped off repetitively in US by auto mechanics.

What the US customs checks for is if it has a lien and whether it is cleared.

Yes ,still there would be problem unless you inform the financer that you are planning to export the car to canada and do all the necessary documentation & formalities probably the loan would have to be transferred to a canadian financer.
"Lien" means a security interest in a motor vehicle.
When there is a financers name printed on your title unless there is a cleared stamp on it or some documentation for arrangement of transferring the finance you cannot export from US or import it into Canada.
